Galveston Cruise Terminals Guide for Cruises from Galveston

The Port of Galveston uses Cruise Terminals 10, 16, 25, and 28. Your ship and departure date determine which address, entrance, drop-off area, and parking options you need.

Galveston Cruise Terminals Guide for Cruises from Galveston

Royal Caribbean normally uses Terminal 10, MSC Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line use Terminal 16, and Carnival and Disney sailings commonly use Terminals 25 or 28. Always confirm the assignment in the documents for the specific sailing because terminal use can change.

Galveston Cruise Terminal Overview

The Port of Galveston has four cruise terminals along Harborside Drive. Terminal 10 and Terminal 16 are east of the older terminal area, while Terminals 25 and 28 are close to the Strand and central port parking facilities.

Terminal 16 1602 Harborside Drive MSC Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line Walking lots and garage options; confirm the reserved facility

How to Confirm Your Galveston Cruise Terminal

Use the terminal shown in the cruise line’s check-in documents for the specific ship and departure date. Cruise lines normally follow the patterns in the table, but a terminal assignment can change for operational reasons. The ship name is more useful than a general search for the cruise line because one operator may use more than one terminal.

Before leaving for Galveston, compare the cruise documents with the current Port of Galveston map and terminal information. Save the complete street address and check the port’s alerts for temporary entrance or traffic changes. Once inside the port area, follow posted signs and staff directions even if a navigation app suggests another turn.

Galveston Cruise Terminal 10

Cruise Terminal 10 is at Pier 10, 1402 Harborside Drive. It was developed for Royal Caribbean and is the usual terminal for the line’s Galveston ships, including large Oasis-class vessels when scheduled. The facility is east of Terminals 25 and 28, so passengers should not navigate to the central terminal area out of habit.

Terminal 10 has its own passenger approach, luggage drop-off, pickup area, and nearby parking network. Choose parking for the assigned terminal and check the access instructions for the reserved lot. The parking options by terminal explain the walking and shuttle choices without assuming that every nearby facility uses the same transfer arrangement.

Galveston Cruise Terminal 16

Cruise Terminal 16 is at 1602 Harborside Drive, near Terminal 10 on the eastern side of the cruise port. It serves MSC Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line sailings from Galveston. Because both terminals are in the same broader port area, verify the terminal number rather than stopping when signs for Terminal 10 first appear.

Parking around Terminal 16 includes walking lots and garage options. Use the parking confirmation for the exact facility and entrance instead of treating the terminal address as the garage address. A garage bearing the Terminal 16 name may also be sold for a Terminal 10 departure, so the building name alone does not identify your passenger terminal.

Galveston Cruise Terminals 25 and 28

Terminals 25 and 28 form the central cruise-terminal pair along Harborside Drive, but each has its own address and passenger entrance.

Cruise Terminal 25

Terminal 25 is at 2502 Harborside Drive and was previously known as Cruise Terminal 1. It primarily serves Carnival Cruise Line. Nearby official parking includes walking and shuttle-served options. Confirm the ship because Carnival departures may not all use the same building.

Cruise Terminal 28

Terminal 28 is at 2702 Harborside Drive and was previously known as Cruise Terminal 2. It primarily serves Disney Cruise Line; confirm any other assignment in the instructions for the specific sailing. Terminal 28 is close to Terminal 25, but passengers should still follow the correct number for luggage drop-off, security, parking transfers, and pickup after the cruise.

Shared Parking Area, Separate Terminal Entrances

Both terminals are served by the same group of official parking facilities, but walking paths and shuttle drop-off points lead to the assigned building. Keep the terminal number available after parking so everyone in the group and the shuttle driver use the correct entrance.

Arriving at the Terminal on Cruise Day

The terminal address brings the vehicle to the correct part of the port, but the final sequence depends on whether the traveler is using passenger drop-off, official parking, private parking, a hotel shuttle, rideshare, taxi, or another transfer. Follow the assigned arrival window and use the marked luggage and passenger lanes. Porters, security screening, check-in, and boarding occur after the vehicle reaches the correct terminal zone.

The check-in and embarkation guide explains how to prepare boarding documents, distinguish your arrival appointment from final boarding, and work through luggage handoff and terminal checks.

Travelers with mobility needs should review the cruise line’s assistance process as well as the parking or shuttle service being used. Accessible parking spaces are available, but availability and transport procedures can differ. The Galveston Cruise Parking guide compares the parking systems, while How to Get to Galveston Cruise Port explains the road approach, airport connections, drop-off, and arrival planning.
