Mariner of the Seas

Mariner of the Seas combines laser tag, racing waterslides and ice skating with the indoor Royal Promenade. Playmakers brings a sports-bar atmosphere, while The Bamboo Room offers tiki-style surroundings for a cocktail. Cabin views and family sleeping arrangements deserve a closer look before you book.

Mariner of the Seas

An active day can include the slides, mini-golf or a skating session, with an adults-only pool setting at the Solarium. Use this guide to compare those options, choose a cabin layout and separate included food and entertainment from paid dining, drinks and childcare.

Laser Tag, Waterslides and Time by the Pool

Mariner of the Seas puts an indoor laser-tag battle alongside the outdoor attractions of a Voyager Class ship. Battle for Planet Z is included, while the puzzle-based Observatorium escape room is a separate paid experience. Check participation ages and reservations before choosing either for a family activity.

On the open decks, Typhoon and Cyclone are racing waterslides, and FlowRider lets you try surfing or bodyboarding against a continuous wave. Standard rides are included; activity-specific height and weight rules apply. Mariner Dunes mini-golf and the climbing wall offer other ways to spend time outside.

The main pool deck is a place for swimming and shared activity. For an adults-only pool setting, the Solarium admits guests ages 18 and older at no extra charge. You can spend the morning there and join a skating session indoors later, subject to availability. Bring long pants and socks for the rink.

Look Beyond the Cabin Category Name

A Promenade View Interior room has a window onto the indoor Royal Promenade. That can make people-watching part of your stay, but it does not provide a sea view. Ocean View rooms have exterior windows, while Ocean View Balcony rooms provide a private place to step outside.

Families can compare connecting cabins with an Ultra Spacious Ocean View room, which has a dedicated bunk-bed area. Book both cabins when choosing a connecting arrangement, and check the actual beds and occupancy of the selected room. Larger suites offer other layouts, but lounge access and other benefits depend on the booked category.

Included Meals and Two Distinct Hangouts

Windjammer provides included buffet dining, and the Main Dining Room offers a seated meal. Café Promenade is useful for sandwiches and snacks between activities; Dog House adds included hot dogs and sausages. A specialty restaurant is optional when planning your meals.

Jamie's Italian, Chops Grille and Izumi Hibachi & Sushi carry additional dining charges. Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade gives sports fans another gathering place, with food priced à la carte and paid arcade games. The Bamboo Room has a different mood, with tiki-inspired decor and cocktails. Entering a lounge does not include its drinks.

Ice water, brewed coffee and tea are among the basic included beverages. Premium coffee, soda, bottled water and alcohol cost extra unless covered by an applicable package. Allow separately for spa treatments and internet access, too.

Children’s Programs and Evening Choices

Regular Adventure Ocean activities are included for children ages 3–11, with full toilet training required. Teens have their own lounge and activities. Royal Babies & Tots nursery care serves ages 6–36 months for an additional fee; late-night youth care also costs extra. Register early and confirm space before making plans that depend on childcare.

Ice performances at Studio B and stage productions in the theater are included entertainment. A piano sing-along at Schooner Bar or music at Boleros offers a less formal evening. Check the Royal Caribbean app for the actual program, reservations and admission rules rather than planning around a fixed show schedule.
