Carnival Dream

Carnival Dream brings together the Lanai outdoor promenade, Ocean Plaza and a Cloud 9 Spa with a hydrotherapy pool. This Dream-class ship also has water slides, several included lunch options and cabins with different balcony and bathroom layouts.

Carnival Dream

The useful choices go beyond room size: a low-set balcony changes the view, an extra washroom helps a shared cabin, and spa access depends on your booking. Knowing those differences makes it easier to choose what you will actually use.

Ocean Plaza and the Lanai Give You Places to Return To

Carnival Dream is the namesake of Carnival Cruise Line's Dream class. Ocean Plaza provides an indoor gathering and entertainment space on the Promenade deck, while the Lanai takes that part of the ship outdoors with seating and whirlpools.

This gives you a choice beyond spending the whole afternoon around a pool. You could check the activities in Ocean Plaza, walk outside along the Lanai or head up to Lido for a swim.

Several Lunch Choices Are Included

Main dining room meals and the Lido buffet form the core of the included dining. Guy's Burger Joint adds burgers and fries, BlueIguana Cantina serves Mexican breakfast and lunch dishes, and Pizzeria del Capitano offers pizza. Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que provides an included barbecue lunch when operating; check the onboard program for its serving days and hours.

The steakhouse, Bonsai Sushi and Seafood Shack are separate-cost choices. A casual counter and a specialty restaurant serve different purposes, so decide which meals you want to make an occasion of and leave room for the included options on other days.

Standard coffee and tea, lemonade, iced tea and non-bottled water are included in the dining rooms and Lido restaurant. Cocktails, sodas and specialty coffees cost extra unless covered by your booking or an applicable package. Drinks ordered at a bar are not included simply because nearby entertainment is complimentary.

Compare the Cabin Layout and Spa Benefits Separately

Choose among interior, ocean view, balcony and suite accommodations, then check the particular room's bed arrangement and view. Cove Balcony cabins sit closer to the waterline; Aft-View Extended Balconies provide more outdoor space facing the wake. Certain Deluxe Ocean View cabins accommodate up to five people and include a full bathroom plus a separate washroom.

Cloud 9 Spa cabins add benefits beyond the room itself. Qualifying thermal-suite and hydrotherapy-pool access applies to the first two adults in the cabin, with these spa facilities restricted to guests 18 and older. Other guests need a pass, and treatments remain paid services. A spa cabin is worth comparing with separate passes if repeated use is part of your plans.

Pool Time, Water Slides and Programs by Age

The main and aft pool areas offer separate places for a swim or a deck chair. WaterWorks adds included water-slide activities, and mini-golf gives you an outdoor option without getting in the water. Slide participation rules apply; children must be toilet trained, with no diapers or swim diapers permitted in WaterWorks.

Children have their own age-based programs: Camp Ocean serves ages 2–11, Circle C covers ages 12–14, and Club O2 is for ages 15–17. Their regular programs are included, while Night Owls late-night care costs extra. Check registration and session times before arranging an evening apart.

Adults looking for an outdoor space without children can use Serenity, included for guests 21 and older. This is a different choice from buying spa access: it is an outdoor retreat rather than the thermal-suite and hydrotherapy facilities.

A Show, Comedy or a Poolside Movie

Playlist Productions provides included musical stage shows. Punchliner offers family-friendly and adults-only comedy, while Dive-In Movies brings included films to the poolside screen. Ocean Plaza adds another place to look for entertainment. Use the Carnival HUB app for the actual program and age restrictions; specific shows and performers can change.
